I'm proud to announce that the HeadNet Hostning Community (which hosts nonkommercial websites for free) will arrange the first Zope user meeting in DK. Openflow includes the ability to specify multiple maps of activities, support for conditional splits and parallel executions. Each activity can be implemented using every Zope object. Site Search 0.1.0 released

Hello everyone, until today I have never felt the need for a nice little site-wide search product, since I always though there are already some out there. But when I tried to find one through several different searches and could not find one, I was more than just surprised. So, I thought, to change that I will have to implement one pretty quick, since we need it for a project in anyway. Therefore, I took the FindSupport and started messing with it a little bit. After I got the basic functionality going I started adding some new features: - Define a base object and search through it. Optionally you can also search its sub objects. - Instead of just looking into PrincipiaSearchSource, the SiteSearch also investigates the properties of an object. This can be optionally turned off, but it makes the product really useful. - There is a simple support for the logical operators 'and', 'or' & 'not'. You can also group words to phrases using " " (quotes). - There is an option, where you can choose whether you would like to search through the Control_Panel as well, since it can be very annoying if it assumes this case. - There are a couple of other options you can set, such as what meta-types to look into or the modification time (as you are used to it from the FindSupport). This little product might also be the start of the backend of the ZOQL, whose parser is currently being implemented by a couple very smart people (certainly not me). Introducing new consept: Zope Beer Nights! (Oslo: you're up)

Yeah! This can't fail! Ok, this is the plan. We're a bunch of people, we all have something in relation to eachother: Zope! This bunch, get's together and drink beer. You just can't beat this plan. Norwegians; rally up! I'm organizing the first ZBN (Zope Beer Night) in Oslo next week (or even this weekend if people are up for it). If you want to join, mail me and I'll let you know where and when (it's not decided yet, so it could be anything from a pub-hangout to a wild BBQ burning old spam, spam and spam). Let your Zopista-friends know and bring them too. (Oh, brining innocent non-Zopista victims could be great fun; we could see how long it would take to convince them to New Religion, for example ;) Hope to see you there (wherever that turns out to be)!

Smart Sections 0.2.0

Hello everyone, after the big fiasco of version 0.1.0 and 0.1.1 I had to add some default objects and properties that will allow Smart Sections to work right out of the box. When you now create a Smart Section, it will automatically create the 'isFormContainer' Property and the 'Forms' Folder for you, which caused all the grieve in the previous versions. I also added an 'index_html' by default, so you can view and edit the Smart Section right away and see how it can be used. And of course: I removed some of the most annoying bugs!! (I did not have time yet to work on Tables some more, so do not expect them to work well yet.) In order to ensure that the product runs now on a clean install, I installed Zope 2.3.2 (Zope 2.3.3 breaks Transparent Folders), added Formulator, Transparent Folders, OrderedFolder and SmartSections to the install and created the Smart Section inside a 'Test' Folder. Since an 'index_html' is generated, you can simply use the default 'View' tab of the Folder. Please let me know, if you have troubles!!! Ordered Folder 0.3.0 released

Hello everyone, I am proud to be able to release Ordered Folder 0.3.0. I completely rewrote the internals, so that it now does not copy anything from the original ObjectManager. This way I do not have to adjust the OrderedFolder every time a new Zope release appears. The new implementation does a couple more operations, but it is in Python, so you will not notice it... In fact, the OrderedFolder does now much more then just ordering the items. The only reason I left the name is for compatibility, since I use it at many places already ;-). But here the core functionality: 1. Order your objects without any changes in the regular API! This is especially nice, if you want to have an order without any computer-logical way of finding it. If you want to display the objects inside the folder, you need no special order attribute in your objects anymore and simply sort them right away in the folder... 2. If you have Transparent Folder installed, you are able to turn on and off the transparency of the Ordered Folder. This feature was added since I sometimes need ordering and transparency at the same time, but I did not want to create yet another Folder! 3. You can select which other objects can be added via Zope (Management Interface and DTML). It uses a similar mechanism to the folderish ZClass behavior. This was added to clean up the List of available objects a little bit, and define some structure in the tree.
