You're right....  Installing with distutils under Python 2.2b1 has the
same (wrong) results under W2k as you saw under W98, while installing
with distutils under Python 2.1.3 on W2k puts the packages in the
place specified by the distutils docs (as I imagine it would also do
under W98).  Library-spelunking we go! ;-)
