[Zope-Moz] another xml rpc problem

Hi all,

I am trying to setup zope as a xmlrpc server and use python to connect to 
the server and make the changes.  I follow the exmaple on the xml.com by 
Amos.  There is one line in BasicAuthTransport doesn't work for me:
   h.putheader("AUTHORIZATION", "Basic %s" % string.replace(
            encodestring("%s:%s" % (self.username, self.password))
            , "\012", "")
the python compiler will not recogernize the encodestring call.  Does 
anybody have an idea of what is wrong here?
