Doubt in using UserTrack product?

Hi, I am a new to Zope. In my Zope application I want to integrate UserTrack product, to track the logged in users. I placed the UserTrack folder inside the Products directory, and created an instance of UserTrack inside some of the other zope products, as follows: u = UserTrack() logger(str(u.listUserActivities())) But the list is coming as empty. I think the place where I have initialised the UserTrack instance is wrong. In the Readme file which comes along with UserTrack says that, UserTrack lists the currently active authenticated users that are logged into zope and accesses an object below the folder where the UserTrack instance resides. So I guess I need to write initialize in some of the ZMI folder object, but which one?. Can anyone please help me. Thanks Roopesh

many thanks. I suppose I did not understand that a request.form object is given all objects 'requested' even if they are a macro in a template that is called by another template, or a fill-slot that is satisfied by another template. Using page templates to generate large XML files

Hi all. I need to generate a large XML file inside a Zope application; the file is for backup purposes, so it is stored on the server and can be downloaded later with whatever suitable tool. The data are taken from a database, and then they are used to create the XML. I assume there will be between 40.000 and 100.000 rows to be dumped. I thought i could use page template for this purpose, but I'm not sure if it is possible to send the output from a pt to a file, directly. Of course, this is a problem which can be easily solved. I wonder however if the PT has to generate the whole XML in just one step; in that case, maybe I should resort to use PT on one row at time, and write the data to different files. TAL conditional expression

I would like to test the value of a field entered on a form in a zpt, but I'm don't know the syntax basically I would like to do something like this <div tal:condition="request/form/fieldA=1"> do this <p metal:use-macro="here/atemplate/macros/may" /> </div> but this doesn't seem to want to work. Issues with instance migration and TextIndexNG2->TextIndexNG3

Hello, I just needed to migrate a zope2.10 instance from one host to another. The zope version on the original host was 2.10.5, on the new destination host it's 2.10.6. Most disk products are the same, only TextIndexNG2 on the original host changed to TextIndexNG3 on the new destination host. I simply copied the Data.fs and all Extensions to the new host after preparing the new instance. So far everything seems to work out of the box, except that I get an error for TextIndexNG3 in the events.log and the product TextIndextNG3 is not listed in the Products management in the ZMI. Other instances, which are created from the scratch on this new host don't get ther error, thus I fear that it's not connected to the Product but to some conflict in the old Data.fs. Kupu: uncaught exception

Hi! Sorry for post this question on this list but I ask at kupu list (last wednesday) without success (glups!) Context: Zope 2.7.8-final Plone 2.0.5 Kupu 1.3.9 (the last tested version on 2.0.5) This is the exact error (copied from firebug) uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80070057 (NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE) [nsISelection.getRangeAt]" nsresult: "0x80070057 (NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE)" location: "JS frame :: http://192.168.1.38:8110/esadir/kupuhelpers.js :: anonymous :: line 443" data: no] Line 0 When is the error raised: I try to add a button that opens a popup box with some phonetics symbols (you could see some buttons with this symbols and an edit box) When you finish with the popup and push the ok button the error is raised (when kupu try to add the text to the editor) This error is only raised by Firefox (tested on 3.0.1 version on ubuntu and windows) On IE if you selected text all is ok but if there are no text selected the phonetics text is inserted at the begining of the block (<p> or similar) not at cursor position This is the command I use to make this addition: this.createFonetica = function(texte) { var fonetica = this.editor.getInnerDocument().createElement('span'); fonetica.appendChild(this.editor.getInnerDocument().createTextNode(texte)); fonetica.className = 'transcripcioFonetica'; fonetica = this.editor.insertNodeAtSelection(fonetica, 1); this.editor.logMessage(_('Fonetica inserted')); this.editor.updateState(); return fonetica; }; The problems seems to be the insertNodeAtSelection but no help at google (at least I don't find no one) Could someone point me to the correct solution? Hi all: I am trying to build a mechanism which cross-checks requests and responses to fnd out if any requests got dropped in a ZEO scheme. Is there a Zope2.x product that analyzes requests and heir corresponding responses. Any alternatives? I am running a ZEO server/Zope288/Python23.
