Hi there,

I am running for election for one of the ZF board seats and hope to
represent the developers within the ZF and to a some amount the needs
and interests of broader Zope community (especially Zope users that are
not directly linked with the Zope community).

Let me introduce myself briefly:

I am working as software developer in the field of electronic publishing
since 1995 and using Python and related technology since the early 90s.
In 2001 I joined Zope Corporation after having worked six years for a
publisher in Germany. In 2003 I returned to Germany and founded my own
company ZOPYX in 2004 where I am working on Zope and Python-based
projects for Haufe Mediengruppe and doing a lot of
development and consultancy projects related to Plone.

I am deeply involved with the Zope community since I started working for
Zope Corporation. I am one of the co-founders of the German Zope User
Group (DZUG) and their 2nd chairman. I am serving the Zope and Plone
community as frequent supporter on mailinglists and as the release
manager of Zope 2 since around 2003. I am strongly connected with the
Plone community and member of the Plone Foundation but also in touch
with almost all other Zope related projects. I am a driving force when
it comes to promoting and fighting for Zope & Plone. Current activities
include the launch of zope2.zope.org microsite and working on a concept
for the relaunch of www.zope.org.

Some of my goals and visions for the next year:

 - improving the website story of Zope (after the failure
of new.zope.org I took over the responsiblity relaunching
   zope2.zope.org as a microsite)

 - working on a clear vision and marketing strategy
   for the Zope brand

 - keeping the Zope community alive

 - getting things done

Thanks for considering me in your vote.

Andreas
