Hi everybody,

Here's a quick rundown on who I am, how I participate in the community
nowadays, and what my goals for the next ZF Board of Directors are.

My involvement with Zope started in the Summer of '99 like Stephan
Richter's, but I worked with 1.10.3 before jumping onto the Zope 2.x
bandwagon. This all turned serious when I went to work for Zope
Corporation in January 2000, where I remained until the summer of
2004. Then I went back to my native Germany to start my own small
Zope consulting business.

Nowadays there's quite a few community efforts I am actively involved
in. I currently hold a ZF board seat as well as a board seat for the
German Zope user group, DZUG e.V.. In both these organizations I've
been concentrating on the technical side such as server administration
and maintenance for the internet services provided by the ZF and
DZUG, because I actually like doing that kind of job.

As far as software development is concerned, I've been CMF release
manager for quite a while now, my active coding work on the CMF
actually started during PTK times back in 2001 or so. Other than
that many people may know me as the "LDAP guy", I've published
software packages like the Zope 2 LDAPUserFolder.

If I get elected to the new ZF Board I would continue to manage the
technology side for the foundation, which is getting more interesting
these days because thankfully we do have a resurgent effort to
improve online documentation and web presences for various parts
of the Zope universe. Furthermore, I want to make sure with all the
activity surrounding Zope 3 or the Zope libraries or whatever you
want to call them Zope 2 still gets all the attention it needs, since
it is the platform most of us build their livelihoods upon.

With that said, I encourage everyone to exercise their right to
vote. High voter turnout helps create a strong Zope Foundation
board.
