Viewlets rely on talnamespaces. Though very convenient to use and very  
easy to write, I still find how talnamespaces are *pulled* into the  
template very mysterious. i.e. /zope:title , /provider:myviewlets

I suppose on further thought, some compatible method may exist to  
*push* the same data.
