I'll note a slight correction:  it isn't actually necessary to source
the 'activate' bit:  that just keeps you from typing the path to the
local '$virtual/bin/python' (and other executables).

I've been using virtualenv steadily for six months or more and didn't
even know that 'activate' was there until last week. ;)
