Hi !

In this Email I just send the main changes to the ZDP Tool
Design document. The changes all have to do with what actions
members can take when they have a role.

Greetings,

Maik Röder

Version History

   Version 0.7 22 Dec 1999

      Changes:

         1. New Role Submitter replaces Contributor. A Submitter is
            someone who uploads a Draft.

         2. New Role Reviewer replaces Editor. You can say an Editor edits
a document, but I think it is better to have a Reviewer who
reviews document, becaus he looks through the document again.

         3. Actions on Documents explained. What people can do on Documents
            is fully explained.

         4. Explained how Awareness is raised with producing News Items
in Section "Awareness about what is going on in the ZDP project"

Awareness about what is going on in the ZDP project

Who is working on the ZDP project ?

            1. Show active members
            2. Show inactive members

         Search in documents

            1. Show documents by type
            2. Show documents of a category
            3. Show documents of a keyword
            4. Show documents by search term

Awareness can be raised by creating a News Item when an Action
takes place. These News Items can be collected with a ZCatalog.
For example, when someone uploads a Draft, a NewsItem is
         being produced.

      Actions on Documents

There are several Actions, which a Member of the ZDP projects
         can take on Documents.

         Reader Role Actions on Documents

            1. Read Document

Only Documents whose Writers want the Document to be read
are visible. A Document Reader has different views, searching
               and filtering possibilities.

            2. Add Comment

A Document Reader can add Comments.

         Submitter Role Actions on Documents

            1. Submit Document

When a Submitter posts a Draft, they provide the following
               pieces of information:

               1. Text
               2. Text Type
               3. Keywords
               4. Document Type
               5. Category
               6. Needs

Then this new Document is announced in the ZDP News Section.

Notification when something changes in the History.

            8. Ask for Reviewer

If the Maintainer wants to allure Reviewers for reviewing
