[Zope-CMF] Metadata Security policies

are there plans to assign security permissions to custom metadata elements?
a friend of mine asked me this question when were were discussing CMF's
metadata abilities.  I told him you would have to create such metadata
Elements on the filesystem.  I'm pretty sure this is possible (dont know how
maintainable). but are there plans on ever having TTW security policies for
metadata elements?  the idea seems like it could be become unwieldly.

has anyone needed this functionality?
