[Zope-CMF] Uploading large number of files at once

You can also use web dav, which is especially convenient if you use windows
and IE 5.5. Using IE: File > Open, type the URL of your site, and select
'open as web folder'. Then you can drag and drop. I've been told the
latest version of the CMF will recognize content this way as CMF content
such as 'CMF Image' vs. a zope 'Image'.

Tina,

I'm no guru, but the simplest way I can think of is to use ftp. Just connect
to port 8021 (by default) and transfer your files. The version I have of the
CMF (v1.0) seems to be broken with regard to ftp. I can browse, but
transfers fail. A newer version may fix this. If not, transfer your files to
a regular Zope folder outside the CMF directory, then select those files in
the ZMI and copy / paste them into the CMF.

With regards the CSS, have you created customised versions of both
default_stylesheet and stylesheet_properties? (Originals are both in
skins/generic.) Both of these files are used to build the CSS that is used.
In the stylesheet_properties, there is a base font size (8pt), which is used
in default_stylesheet to set sizes for most (if not all) font styles using
percentages. This is the only thing I can think of that would cause your
problem.

Regards
Steve

Dear All

A couple of questions from a newbie!

Is there a quick way to upload a complete directory of files at the one
time. I have around 80 html files and 300 images files which I need to
upload. It is too slow one at a time.

Is there any documentation on using cascading style sheets within Zope? The
HTML files use a .css file as they are rather layout intensive. I have added
the required styles to the main portal style sheet and the files take on all
of the attributes but ignore the size of the style completely. This is not
good.

Thanks in advance, any information will be greatly appreciated.
