Nope, its not you. Its a bug in the Zope 2.3.1b2 release, but it has since
been fixed in the CVS version -- this is probably why the CMF/Zope users who are used
to living on the bleeding edge (who are getting their Zope/CMF direct from the CVS)
aren't complaining about this :^).

As for myself (not that I'm recommending this for everyone), I replaced the 
Unindex.py in the $INSTALL_DIRECTORY/lib/python/SearchIndex directory with the 
latest from the CVS (revision 1.28) -- this is accessible via the web at
http://cvs.zope.org/Zope2/lib/python/SearchIndex/UnIndex.py.

That seemed to fix it (of course, my radical surgery might have other consequences
which I totally know nothing about so YMMV...)
