I'm sorry you found the INSTALL.txt unhelpful.  I am a bit puzzled by
the problem you have, as the file clearly shows linking the CMF *packages*
into the Products directory, rather than the top-level "tarball" directory.

The current text says::

  2. Link (or copy/move) the CMF packages into
     $INSTANCE_HOME/Products.  For instance::

The example currentl reads::

     $ cd /var/zope/Products
     $ ln -s /usr/local/zope/CMF-1.1beta/CMF* .

Perhaps you could suggest alternate language or examples for step 2?

I have received feedback from Windows users that I should be providing

additional examples which don't presume a Unix-like shell (the 'ln -s'

part really confused them).
