[Zope-CMF] can not move object using own workflow

I created my own workflow from scratch.
I added some states and transitions that differ from the "standard" CMF
workflow.
I tried to model permissions and guards similar to the standard workflow.

Now my problem:
I can not move any of the objects that are controlled by my new workflow.
I get an error "object does not support this operation" (not even as
manager)

Has anybody an idea what could be the reason.
