Presuming that you have read and understood the dire warnings implied by
my note :), you can tweak the CookieCrumbler to make the authentication
cookie persistent:  customize the 'setAuthCookie' skin script (and
probably the 'expireAuthCookie' one, too). YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Andy McKay has done this for ZopeZen, I think.
