ExternalEditor sounds like exactly what you want. Have a look at these
instructions:

Subject: [Zope-CMF] ExternaEditor and WebDAV

HI,
I am now able to see my files with webdav and I'm able to open
them from the OpenOffice.org 1.0.2 (using it's open dialog not the
native OS one ). And I'm able to save these files. ( Thanks Andreas).

However I'm now trying to figure out how to enable a link beside the
documents in the normal users view (i.e. not the ZMI ). What I want
is for the users to be able to edit their documents by clicking a link
on the website which would cause the document to be loaded into
whatever edit program was appropriate.

What I'm looking for is something similar to the ExternalEditor which
is called from the ZMI.

Thanks for any suggestions,
Charlie
