Have a look at http://www.inf.bme.hu/~mszeredi/avfs/ - it's a (linux-only) library that gets preloaded before an executable, and allows you to access a 'virtual file system'. The examples that are shipped are looking inside various archive formats - tar.gz, that sort of thing, but it's possible something similar could be useful to access Zope's object DB... Anthony
