To concur with Michel --  JPython is a wonderful java prototyping
environment.  I know that people use it to do real work, as well...

But, I'm really not sure that it gains you much, given Java's high
footprint on anything that is non-Windows/non-Solaris.  

Also, JPython loses some of the nicer features of python (such as
multiple inheritance; at least the more recent functional versions
did, last I looked, 6 months ago).  This might be problematic,
depending on the guts of Zope.

If you really want Java, I suggest sticking with Servlets.  Or fork
the source code... 

But Digital Creations, please don't reimplement Zope in JPython...
