[Zope-dev] ZCatalog sorting questions

Hi,

Wow, ZCatalog is interesting :-S

How does the sorting in line 674 and 684 of Catalog.py interact with the sorting
in lines 566, 581-587, 598-616?

To an amateur like me it looks like it re-sorts irrespective of the sorting
already in the index (which I thought was done to make things fast) and nulifies
any benefits of earlier attempts to lazify results sets.

Particulary the r.reverse in line 684 if you choose to reverse your sort
order...

I'm hoping someone can explain this all to me, I really am starting to loose
hair :-S
