You could email your problems with Zope <-> Apache to zope@zope.org 
mailinglist after you have joined on it. That mailinglist is the 
user-list, where people help each other out.

About your problem, there are hundreds of people running Zope behind 
Apache - and you can find very good howto from link below:

If you don't need to absolutely use pcgi - then don't. Apache 
Rewriterules with Proxy-module rule - and give you whatever you need. At 
the moment only time, when you would actually need pcgi could be that 
you run Zope on a hosting machine - that does not allow you to open a 
new tcp/ip port for Zope.
