 Status: Pending => Resolved

I modified the squid redirector to avoid this problem.

It was taking any input url, and prefixing "www" to it to construct a rewrite map. I turned this behavior off so that any aliases must be explicitly named.

Related: I made the left-hand links point absolutely to www.zope.org URLs. This is a problem if you've logged in under "zope.org".

If you visit www.zope.org and click the "log in" link at the top of the page, the link sends you to a "zope.org" login page (sans the 'www'). After you post that form with the login info, it redirects you back to "www.zope.org", while the login cookie has been set for "zope.org", making it appear as if you haven't logged in (even though you just did). If you then visit "zope.org", you will indeed see that you're logged in.
