[Zope] accessing objects inside folders

Sorry for this newbe question, but I just can't figure it:

I have a basic squishdot product setup at /news with a method named
shownews. How can I call it from the main index_html?

If i do <!--#var "news.shownews"--> I get the DTML code not rendered.

I've tried using <!--#with news--><!--#var shownews--><!--#/with--> and
nothing happens...

Any ideas?
