Nope, ZHS (for short) is derived from the example CGIHTTPServer.py that
ships with Python---it's heavily modified though.  ZServer is what is
derived from Medusa and is currently in alpha (though pretty stable for
me).

As for SSL, not currently, and I'm not sure what's going to happen with
this.  You can use Apache+SSL right now for this.  I've had some
thoughts about it, but I'm not sure how SSL will impact an async-socket
based system...  the setup of new SSL connections is kind of heavy.
