hi darran,

remove the slash both from "^/optics/(.*)" and just after Zope.cgi, so that
your rule looks like:

RewriteRule ^/optics(.*) /usr/local/apache/cgi-bin/Zope.cgi$1 <etc>

this works just fine and dandy for me.
