Well, I did take it literally ^_^ but I also got the same result with my own
code before that.  I did look for errors in it before replying, but
punctuation errors like that tend to be invisible to me (there's a reason I
don't do C  ^_^).  Although I do see the error there, now that you mention it.
Hindsight's 20/20, etc.

Right.  That's the problem.  I have a string property "image" available to my
method, rather than the Photo object it refers to.

Error Type: NameError
Error Value: tag

Presumably  because blah is a string rather than a Photo.
