I don't know ZC's reason for choosing hot, but it could easily be either to
me.  Hot has a *lot* of meanings.  For example, a "hot swappable" drive
indicates you can add/remove the drive without "changing" the system, just
as you can add the hotfix without modifying Zope itself.  A "hot item", on
the other hand, means something in high demand.  It could also mean
something stolen, but that's another story.
