[Zope] Zope and Apache: root of ZODB reference problem?

Do you mean "^/optics(.*)"???  I'm not at all familiar with
Apache but I'd be very surprised if the above expands properly.
(I'm not sysadmin so changes to httpd.conf require me
to pester someone else.)

Can you clarify your advice?
