[Zope] Does Zope stack up as a portal?

I don't know Amadeus or uPortal, but since you express some
disgruntlement (which I share) over CMF, have you looked at Plone
(http://www.plone.org/)? It's based on CMF, easy to install and fully
usable "out of the box".
