[Zope] Installing MySQL-python-0.9.1 on Solaris 2.6 problem

Hi,
I am trying to install MySQL-python-0.9.1 on Solaris 2.6 under=20
Zope-2.5.1beta.

I modified the setup.py to fit my installation.

when doing:

python setup.py build

the _mysl.o is compiled, but the linking fails with

gcc -shared build/temp.solaris-2.6-sun4u-2.1/_mysql.o -L/u/mysql/lib=20
-R/usr/local/lib:/usr/ccs/lib:/usr/openwin/lib:/usr/dt/lib -lmysqlclient=20
-lresolv -ldl -lz -lc -o build/lib.solaris-2.6-sun4u-2.1/_mysql.so

Text relocation remains                         referenced
    against symbol                  offset      in file
ctype_latin1                        0x4bc=20
/u/mysql/lib/libmysqlclient.a(d$
ctype_latin1                        0x684=20
/u/mysql/lib/libmysqlclient.a(d$
.....

a lot of lines like this and finally


ld: fatal: relocations remain against allocatable but non-writable sections
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1
