I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but the quick and dirty way 
I use to log out is to create a "logout" file that no one has "View" 
permissions for, and then link to that file.  When the user clicks on the 
link to view the file, it brings up the default browser-based login dialog.  
I'm sure there's a better way, but it works for me for now.
