[Zope] Out of Memory Error with ExternalFile

Supposing you are talking about ExtFile (and not ExternalFile which is a 
separate product) check out my ExtFile patch at

http://www.zope.org/Members/shh/Patches

If you really do mean ExternalFile, I suppose it suffers from a similar 
problem, i.e. is using StringIO instead of a TemporaryFile.
- Just checked, it does!

You might either go for ExtFile + patch or modify ExternalFile to use 
TemporaryFiles.
