Thats about that what I do.
I first define assign a variable:

tal:define="ErrCode REQUEST/ErrCode|string:'noerror'"

And then test with:

<font size="-1" color="red" tal:condition="python: 
ErrCode=='noname'">A!!</font>

But the A! is always there, even if no ErrCode is provided. What's wrong?
