I think Plone's great application if it's what you want.  I typically 
want little and wish to build most of the application myself.  I found 
that trying to go that path with Plone was harder for me, as I had to 
learn the Plone way/framework and I wasn't really wanting to sign up to 
do that for the task at hand.  Plone has their way - which 
understandable - it's just not what I was in need of.
