How does the startup fail?  Try running Zope in the foreground (set
'debug-mode' true in zope.conf, then run 'zopectl fg').  What errors do
you see?

Also, what version of Zope was the original installation?  What version
is installed now?

Assuming that the Data.fs is not damaged, you should be able to open the
database from within Python, but that seems harder than needed if we can
~ help you get Zope to restart;  if it does, then you can write a script
to extract your data (to be run under 'zopectl run').
