My book (http://worldcookery.com) explains them, just look them up in
the index. I also mention what's up with the @@ prefix in one of my
tutorials (http://worldcookery.com/files/ploneconf05-five/step3.html)
and Jeff's tutorial
http://worldcookery.com/files/jeffshell-todo/step5.html ("Notice the @@
characters in the paths...")

Well, sounds like you already dug up the necessary concepts. Perhaps you
have a more concrete question?

How so?

Why?

Define "existing link".

Can you spell @@ or ++ over the phone? I can. Plus, no one says ++ and
@@ have to occur in a public view of Zope 3 site. Go to
http://worldcookery.com. You won't see much of @@ or ++.

That depends on your application based on Zope. You can try to avoid
generating URLs with @@ and ++, but we generally don't consider these
URLs harmful in any way. They might not be very pretty, but that's a
different discussion. They're still prettier than, say, Vignette
StoryServer URLs.

It's all spelled out in the links above.

Sounds like you want to volunteer :)
