No. I want to create a page from small fragments that can also contain tal
satements. The objective is to make all parts of the page editable using an
editor. Macros sound like some form of programming rather than something
editable with Amaya or Dreamweaver, so I haven't looked at METAL yet.
perhaps I should?

By the way, my fears about Amaya are confirmed. The first real page template
I tried to modify got corrupted worse than MS-Frontpage does to asps:-( It
was a good idea, but it doesn't seem to work in practice.
