Indeed, but I like to explore ideas such as this one thoroughly before 
deciding to invoke simplicity.  You may have noticed that I've come up 
with, and participated in blue-sky discussion of, some pretty wacky 
ideas that never made it into ZPT ;-)

On the other hand, useful constructs such as '|'-paths and 
'?'-interpolation weren't part of the original spec, but have proved 
useful enough to justify inclusion, so I like to keep an open mind.
