In Vim, I'd do:
   :set showbreak=+\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \
   :set breakat= ^I!@*-+;:,./? (this is the default)
to have a line like the above look like:

2002-09-16T23:36:33 INFO(0) testZEO setUp() ZEO.tests.testZEO.
+                   UnixConnectionTests.check666

Then I could still search for /testZEO.*666 without having to worry
about linebreaks ..
